After professional careers in theatre & television collectively spanning more than two decades, Jodi Crump & Helen Knight spent a number of years teaching performing arts for a top London stage school before founding Encore Academy of Performing Arts in 2010. Teaching singing, musical production, ballet, tap and jazz to 2-18 year olds, they bring with them a wealth of talent and an outstanding knowledge of the entertainment business. Both hold up to date CRB certificates and chaperone licenses and graduated with a diploma in performing arts from the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in Central London.
Jodi’s professional theatre credits include Spirit of The Dance, The Osmond Show, The Frank Carson Show, Disney Spectacular as well as dance captain for scores of Qdos Entertainment productions and pantomimes. Her TV work ranges from dancing at the Brit Awards for Simply Red to Comic Relief with Peter Kay, as well as presenting on children’s TV. Jodi has also choreographed for a number of TV shows, theatre productions and stage school showcases.
Helen's professional theatre credits include lead role as Agnetha in Abba Salute, the country's sell-out Abba tribute show, lead vocalist for large scale Qdos Entertainment productions, as well as providing vocals over the years for a number of bands and tours. Outside of theatre, Helen has a wealth of experience in the recording studio, most notably as part of a girl group in the late 90s and session work with other artists. Her TV work includes several commercials for names such as Blockbuster Video.
